The most memorable thing to watch last Saturday was when a mother duck and her little ducklings decided to cross the African plains enclosure; commanding the absolute interest of the young giraffes and zebras.
At first it was funny to see the giraffes' complete bewilderment, but I really feared for those ducklings when one of them threatend to stomp on the little little ones on purpose. It was only at the last moment that they reached the safety of the high grass.
