Although the weather was rotten today, all was not lost on this trip to the zoo, because there were lots and lots of youngsters to be seen. We spent a long time watching the leopard and jaguar twins at play, thoroughly enchanted.
Thanks a lot! This was a real hard picture to take, actually, because it was very dark and there was a very narrow fence before the enclosure, making sharp pictures almost impossible. This was the only one out of approx. 15 which worked.
I tried to take a bunch of pictures of some tigers at the zoo, but because of the enclosure and the ropes I couldn't get a good shot But the one good shot you got seems like it was definitely worth the other 14 bad ones!
Yes, it definitely sucks when they build enclosures the way that prevents decent photos. There's a pack of wolves in a park in the northern surroundings of Berlin, and they have a wonderful, nature-like enclosure... but up to a height of over a meter, there's this mesh around it (I suppose to prevent stupid people from reaching through), which makes good shots virtually impossible.
Again, the blurryness was intentional to increase the "softness" of the fur; also it was virtually impossible to get a better shot because there was a very narrow fence around them. Thanks for the comment.
Oh my, I'm happy you like it so much. It was bloody hard to get it, and is actually the only one, although the little ones really got the action on while we were there. But the fence around them makes good shots almost impossible.
