It is only me who is old enough to remember that old Science Fiction-series "The Timetunnel"? I loved it as a child, and that picture of the "Elbtunnel" (a tunnel underneath the river Elbe in Hamburg, connecting the two sides of the harbour) reminds me of it very strongly.

Ich war total beeindruckt von den alten Aufzügen für die Kutschen! Unglaublich, was damals schon gebaut wurde! Und irgendwie war es ja auch schon ein etwas mulmiges Gefühl, mit all dem Wasser überm Kopf...

This is a lovely shot. The only way i think that you could improve it would have been a longer exposure so that the people looked ghostly, but thats only my opinion :)
The colours are perfect tho

this is a very captivating image! I wonder how much of it was original in the picture, and how much was edited? I love the effect the lights have on the walls, and the infinite effect is nice, how the tunnel curves up toward the end! *fave*

Since I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to photoshopping, the only thing I did was - rather drastically, admitted - alter the colours. The rest of it was actually there. A very, very cool place; very spooky when you think of all the water above your head. And the most amazing thing that struck me about this very long tunnel is that it was build at a time when they were still using carriages! They actually have old, but still fully functioning elevators for entire carriages down there! :-o

I agree, that might have been an interesting effect, but I didn't have my tripod then. I tried to do this with some other colours and even in b&w, but I loved the blue the most. Somehow, it turned this into Science Fiction, LOL! ;-)

wow, that's amazing! Both that the picture was already like this, and that it was built that long ago! Are you sure you didn't add the little....i don't know, wave-like things doing down the tunnel? They look like warp-lines, almost. Circling all the way around it, mainly on the ceiling and floor.

ja da hste recht, kann mich auch noch gut erinnern. dann hatte ich noch von den angeblich riesigen havenratten gehört und hab mich immer gefragt was ich mach wenn so nen vieh den tunnel entlang kommt XD

joa naja is ne coole stadt hamburg aber berlin is besser XD

Ah, you mean the "Timetunnel-Phenomenon"! ;-) Nope, that was actually there, although it intensified a good deal when I played around with the colours. It was what actually drew my attention toward trying my luck with this photo. :-)

Oops... gut, dass ich davon nicht gehört hatte! Wenn da so eine pferdgroße Ratte auf einen zu galoppiert kommt... brrrr....!!!!
;-) Nein, eigentlich sah es dort ganz sauber aus als ich da war.
