Vintage Horror Flick by Katzilla13 Vintage Horror Flick by Katzilla13
I can't remember any good old 50's horror flick featuring a praying mantis. Why not, they are some of the coolest insects, I think? There were ants, bees, spiders, etc., etc.... but no praying mantis. :-(

Thank you. I think praying mantisses are the most incredible insects.

This shot made me think of Nosferatu even before I read your title. Very cool!

Yup, that was what I was thinking of, as well, when I worked on it. There is something eerie and fascinating to praying mantisses, I think.

Agreed (about the creepiness and fascination). And if you were going for Nosferatu, I'd say you definitely nailed it :)

Not consciously, no. But it occured to me as soon as I checked it on the monitor. :-)
